Ministry Opportunities at Trinity Lutheran Church
Trinity Lutheran Corpus Christi offers many opportunities to grow in our understanding of faith and to live out that faith through service and community. Look at the many ministry opportunities that we offer and select one or more that appeal to your interests:
The Texas Lutheran Mission Board is taking the initiative to involve church members across the state in reaching the lost. The LCMS Texas District has committed itself to partner with the LCMS worldwide missions initiative.
The emphasis within the Texas District is to begin right here in our home state by becoming “Prayer Partners” and seeing the work and opportunities right here at home.
Our prayers and participation are vital to the health and movement of God’s people. Of course God’s kingdom comes on its own but in these petitions we pray that it comes also to the heart of every man, woman and child with whom we have contact.
To receive the prayer page go to the subscriber page link. That url is http://www.texasmmf.org/subscribe.php. Those who are already involved and receiving this page, should have received an email to update the subscription. It will come soon if it hasn’t arrived already.
Don’t be shy about inviting fellow disciples to be partners in prayer! Share this address with as many as you would like. God is opening a door of opportunity at Trinity to reach out to the community here in Corpus Christi.

Trinity takes seriously the command of our Lord to “Tell all the World” the good news of Jesus. Trinity Lutheran Church wants to help people find comfortable ways that fit with their personalities to share their faith.
Some of Trinity’s outreach activities include handing out water at community events, taking welcome bags to visitors, and equipping people to articulate their faith and to share it at home, work, school, or even beyond. Other outreaches include:
- Vacation Bible School
- Visits to new residents in our community
- Hosting community events such as Oktoberfest and musical performances in our church
- Ongoing re-stocking of the Little Food Pantry near the church office

Christian Education includes Sunday School and Adult Bible Classes
The central mission of Trinity Lutheran Church is to teach the Word of God. Sunday School and Sunday Adult Classes have been a part of life at Trinity since our founding.
Every Sunday, we engage our kids, preschool through 12th grade, in Sunday School programs that enrich, inspire and teach. Our Sunday School programs help our children know how God has worked in the past in the lives of people, and how He is at work today in their lives.
Our Sunday morning, Adult Bible Class is a lively discussion centered around God’s word through Bible study and through examination of modern day writings. We seek to understand better how the lessons of the Bible apply to our lives today. The Adult Class is open to all who are looking for a comfortable and safe place to ask the sensitive questions about the Bible or about faith that you never thought you should ask in church.
Trinity Lutheran Sunday School and Adult Bible Class begin each Sunday at 10:15 am.
The Word on Wednesday (WOW) Bible Study meets each Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Parish Hall.
The Sunday School curriculum centers around your favorite Bible stories. Students learn some of the major stories of the Old and New Testaments and see how God weaves His plan of salvation in Christ through the lives of ordinary men, women, and children. Come join us Sundays at 10:15 AM.

Small Group Ministries Serve Varied Ages and Interests
Trinity Lutheran Church is a community of people with a wide range of ages, interests, talents and goals. We have groups that form and meet throughout the year as special needs or occasions arise and then go dormant until the need returns.
One example is the group that works on our annual community outreach festival, Oktoberfest. In the past groups have formed to refurbish the school building and spearhead fundraisers for special projects. The opportunities to form or serve in a small group are numerous.
Trinity also has permanent small groups that meet regularly. Examples of these are the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League group and Emilie’s Quilting group. These groups that meet throughout the year connect us and encourage us in our common faith as we work to help our church and our community.
